A bit about me

My name is Terri, I’m an independent celebrant. I work with families and Funeral homes to create beautiful bespoke funeral ceremonies in Kent and surrounding areas.

Allow me to tell you a little bit about myself to give you the opportunity to get to know me a little better. It will help make it easier to decide if I am the correct fit for your families service.

I trained as an independent Celebrant at the International College of Professional Celebrants.

The course itself covered weddings, funerals, and naming ceremonies, but I have a passionate interest in funerals.

I feel it is an honour to work with families to help create and conduct a funeral to their exacting requirements.

I’m 42 years old and before embarking on a celebrant journey I was a hairdresser,

I loved my clients they were extremely loyal through the years.

It was one of those jobs that created long term human connections and friendships.

Through the years hairdressing took its toll on my joints and health, this was the main drive to seek out a career change.

I grew up in London, moved to Chatham for a while, and now live in Gravesend, I have done for 14 years.

I have a son he is 14 years old and has a great humour.

He is autistic and doesn’t have a filter! As a result, I have gained extremely thick skin and learnt to be patient, tolerant and consistent.

I adore nature and being outside. I love a good hike or to go on a bike ride.

I used to go camping most weekends in the summer until I met a lovely man who lives in a motorhome,

so now we like to travel when we can in his van.

I’m a hobbyist I mostly like to crochet and draw.

I like to read and write poems.

Other than what I have just said, Good food, Friendships, and Music,

kind of make up what is Terri!

I look forward to meeting and working with you in the future

Kindest Regards

Terri Rackley
